- Privacy Incidents and Disclosure of Personal Information
In the event of an incident involving personal information, Auberge des 21 is committed to taking reasonable steps to minimize the risk of harm to individuals and to prevent similar incidents in the future. If an incident presents a serious risk of harm, the Inn will notify the Privacy Commission of Canada and the affected individuals. In addition, an incident register will be maintained, and a copy of this register will be forwarded to the Commission on request. The Inn also complies with requirements concerning the communication of personal information without consent for studies, research, statistics and commercial transactions, by first conducting a privacy impact assessment. In addition, any verification or confirmation of identity using biometric characteristics or measurements will be disclosed to the Commission in accordance with the regulations in force. These measures guarantee compliance with privacy protection standards and the security of our customers’ personal data.
