A successful first edition!
Quebec City, Thursday, March 30, 2023 – Some thirty hoteliers and spa managers, members of the AHQ and AQS, met this week on Quebec City’s Parliament Hill with nearly twenty elected officials and political advisors to raise awareness of our common issues and propose solutions.
This was the first time that the Association hôtellerie du Québec had organized this type of event in collaboration with the Association québécoise des spas, and there will certainly be a2nd edition, as the event was very well received by both members and elected officials from all parties.
During the question period, which we attended, we were even treated to a statement from MP Amélie Dionne, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Tourism, Caroline Proulx.
“We would like to thank the ministers, MPs and political advisors who took time out of their busy schedules to meet with us. The exchanges were rich in information and very constructive. Véronyque Tremblay, CEO of the Association hôtellerie du Québec, commented: “We would like to thank the ministers and political advisors who took the time out of their busy schedules to meet with us.
Our members were able to raise several themes at the heart of their concerns, such as the labor shortage, immigration delays, the introduction of a public massage therapy training program and digital transformation.
